This July race that has become wildly popular begins at the Spirit Mountain Ski Area and encompasses one leg of the Minnesota Voyageur Trail Ultramarathon, plus a bit extra to equal 26.2 miles. TWIN CITIES MARATHONS:

GOLDY’S RUN: Join thousands of runners on the beautiful 5K route through campus or the 10 mile that runs along the Mississippi River. All races start at TCF Bank Stadium and finish on the 50-yard line. The race benefits the University of Minnesota Masonic Children's Hospital. info@mnrunseries.com


HOT CHOCOLATE 15K/5K RUN: The Hot Chocolate 15k/5k series is a national series of chocolate themed races that happen in major cities across the USA. These are big city races with courses to match. Established in 2008, the inaugural Hot Chocolate 15k/5k ran through the streets of Chicago, Illinois. Since its inception, over 200,000 participants have run for chocolate, making it the fastest growing race series in the nation. Each Hot Chocolate 15k/5k race features both a 15k (9.3miles) and 5k (3.1miles). Participants receive an award winning goodie bag, which they collect at the expo along with their race packet. The chocolate really begins to flow at the post race party where runners enjoy music, and a finishers mugs filled with hot chocolate, chocolate fondue and tasty dippable treats! www.ramracing.org


ST. PAUL- ST. PAUL Trail MARATHON (Urban Trail Series-Bluff Tuff!): This perfect blend of trail and city begins at the trails of Battle Creek Regional Park and winds its way down to the Mighty Mississippi; then climbs the bluffs and showcases beautiful vistas of the capitol city! Expect hills (some steep) on this course that consists of 50/50 dirt trail and pavement. Stairs at mile 20! www.enduranceunited.org. The Trail KIDS Run is free with a Bluff Tuff registration.


LAKE MINNETONKA HALF-MARATHON RUN: A point to point race around beautiful Lake Minnetonka that starts in Wayzata and ends in Excelsior. USATF certified and chip timed, this is an excellent opportunity to test your speed. The cut off time is a 16-minute mile pace, and with a rich history among distance runners, racers of all abilities are made welcome! If 13.1 miles is a bit too much, get a buddy and sign up as a relay team of two. MAPLE GROVE HALF MARATHON AND 5K: Hundreds of runners take to the streets of this City for this annual race run through the streets and paved trails of Maple Grove. Chip-timed races with a few hills thrown in for extra challenge, this is a great chance to test your fitness. STILLWATER RACE: This picturesque Half Marathon takes its participants along the beautiful Gateway Trail for the first eight miles and through the streets of scenic residential Stillwater, Minnesota in the Midwestern United States. The 10K route follows the last 6.2 miles of the Half Marathon course and the 5K course begins at Browns Creek Park. LOLA’S HALF MARATHON: Lola's Lake Waconia Half Marathon promises to provide one of the most scenic race routes in the greater Twin Cities area. It starts near City Square Park in lovely Waconia, weaves through the city then winds around beautiful Lake Waconia where you'll catch your breath and to the finish at the park. There's something for everyone: the half marathon, 2-person 1/2 marathon relay, a 10 mile, the 5k run/walk that is dog friendly.
